If they really have good coffee and nice pastry no juror will remain petit for longer than a few days.

Hey, you're a boy so "Petit" (see Le Petit Ecolier, for example :), unless you call yourself Blanche while we're not looking, then petite will be fine ;) ) and the invitation said so too *EG*
Nevertheless, fancy food and coffee would be too seductive to pass up, hence en-lengthening deliberations and enlarging the jurors ;)
You get my point :)

Le Petit Ecolier - OK, if you're gonna twist my arm ;) - Yum!

Blanche - No, but I know a couple of guys who might...

jurors - and the sheriffs - heh.

Why did it bother you so much last time? Besides, technical people hardly ever seem to get selected.

I think I was most annoyed in 2005 about the whole week of attendance, when compared to Bergen County's 1 day, fortunately Monmouth has revamped their system down to 2 days.

Tech people - Yes, that was the outcome I experienced, last time. The judge asked some follow up questions that lead both counselors, almost simultaneously, to request that I be dismissed - yay - for working for who we work for...

as I recall the commissary at the court house is run by a blind fellow who makes very good soups and sandwiches - so lunch will be very yummy.

heh.

Tell them any of the following:

1) You watch CSI / Law & Order / The West Wing

2) You believe the Klan got a bad rap

3) Kant's "Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics" is your bedtime reading

4) You can't serve because you believe the Rapture will occur imminently

Also, wouldn't count on the good coffee or munchies.

Stay calm and sane.

to #1 add - Boston Legal, NCIS and Quincy - Yes, Quincy. ;)

#2 - not so much.

#3 - I might be able to read it, but I doubt that I'll understand it. Wanna help? / sometimes I feel so-very-un-geeky around you.

#4 - Rapture is only likely to happen with insistent (prostate) pounding by one or more of the BullGoon Sheriffs - just saying.

coffee their commissary had rather good food last time.

#1 - Definitely Quincy!

#2 - I didn't say you had to BELIEVE it, just tell 'em it.

#3 - YOU feel un-geek-y around ME? Ok, I'm scared now. hee hee. (Help: the short version - its not a very good read).

#4 - Don't know who the BullGoon Sheriffs are, but the image...oh, my! *eg*

Coffee - then you are in for a treat. The stuff they had in Camden (which I had to pay for) was utter shite.
