tire replacment - cont'd @ 12:41 am

Mood: relieved relieved

it turns out that there were two tires with broken steel belts. one of them looked like it had two super-pinky balls about 4 or 5 inches apart under the tread near one edge.

scary to think that we've been riding on them for a couple of months, granted at reduced speed, but still scary.

Thanks!

inexpensive, um, no.

not as expensive as some of the things I was thinking that it might have been.

timing was good on the tire replacement - over the following weekend Dave & I visited his cousin & family in PA and we traveled back during that wicked snow storm. I think, had it not been for the new tires we would have been in a mess of trouble!
