vacation @ 02:32 pm

Mood: content content &a little disappointed
Music: muted sounds of kids at the pool and the occasional scream

Left Newark 0730 flight, car picked us up at 0445...

Sunday; Arrived Florida;
took a taxi to the auto service center, picked up a rental car, for the odd trip `off Disney prem'
downtown Disney, purchased music at the Virgin megastore, then dinner at Bongos - a cuban restaurant, reportedly started by Gloria Estefan (sp?); the food, service and beverages were Top Notch! I would go back there in a heartbeat!
walked along the water, trying to avoid getting run down by carriage wielding parents chasing after their 7 to 12 year olds. [wink]

Monday; Animal Kingdom;
took our time saw most of what the park has to offer.
it's tough to be a bug, could have done without the stink bug's blast, but cool!
african tour, saw quite a few animals, lions, zebra, giraffes, etc; cool!
conservation station, they need to put some type of ride or up-scale dining out there, at the end of the train ride, it would be better attended; not bad.

Tuesday; MGM/Disney Studios;
tower of terror: major cool!
extreme stunts; cars, explosions, etc: cool!
back lot tour; jaws is gone, disaster canyon remains: updated, not bad!
muppets 3d; cool!
'aerosmith limo ride/coaster': way too cool for words!

Wednesday; breakfast at IHOP `outside Disney'; Dave, Roger & Kevin to Magic Kingdom.
I didn't join them, but I may join them later, blisters on the feet, kinda, troubles.
Probably heading out to International Drive to enhance the local economy and look for socks that 'wick' better.

Tom and I did disney and universal last yr for a week, we had an amazing time, and the worst chub-rub of my life!! We found a 24 hr walgreens and bought insoles for our shoes, baby powder and rash stuff for my crotch, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc etc, we totally weren't prepared for Fla.

Love the goatee btw!

...we had the sunglasses, sunscreen, powdery stuff for the rubbing parts, I thought that I had comfortable, well fitting, broken in just-so sneakers and hiking boots, nope I was wrong. total of two blisters on my left foot and three or four on the right. None got infected (yea!)

Sorry to hear about the chub-rub.

I like the sound of that [grin] chub-rub, sounds like something that could get a little erotic if it were happening in the bedroom [grin]...

congrats on getting accepted into the PhD programs!
wow, attractive and brainy, too!

thanks for the complement!
