Dragon Fly at rest

a true macro lens for my digital SLR would have come in handy for the second shot.

Beautiful pics! How long did it take to get the dragonfly shot? They're all around our house but I can never find them landing.

Thanks!

I was sitting out on the deck, munching some chips and the dragon fly arrived, I read a few more pages in my book and noticed that it was still sitting on the hanger - maybe 5 to 10 minutes before I got my camera and snapped a few shots.

I guess that today was my lucky dragon fly day...

I love the way the handle sort of mirrors the dragon fly's shape. :-)

Thanks!
We went to Bear Trek this year, up in Westchester NY and took the afternoon side trip to one of the estates and a working farm.

Both pictures are well made. I like the barn one better, probably because of the interesting geometric shapes.
