GEEKY! @ 10:24 pm

Location: apartment
Mood: geeky geeky
Music: Dave watching Studio 60

I am posting this entry using my laptop (wireless disabled) connected via wire to a Hawking HWBA54G in wireless bridge mode which is wirelessly bridging space across the room to my Linksys WRT54GS which is connected to the apartment network.

[laptop]---wire---[Hawking-HWBA54G] ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ [Linksys WRT54GS]---wire---[apartment network]

For my next trick I am going to try to get the Vonage TA connected to the network via the bridge and see if I can make a call.

I'll keep you posted...

We decided the same thing about the RT31P2 - it's ok for a TA, it's blah for a router.

I've had the RT31P2 for about a year. We have found that its not stable after a long call, especially a conference call and it has sufficient ventillation.

I've got a couple of friends that have a few colocated servers out on the 'net and from time to time the admin asks if I would be interested in an account on the machines. It helps that they have Asterisk running on one of the boxes...

..keep secure..
