Thoughts on eBay transactions @ 03:07 am

Gabby,

Thanks for the message and the info.
I figure folks are on vacation during the summer months and the package has to make the crossing to the US also, so, no problem.

Rest assured, I typically contact the seller if there are any issues with their item before leaving punitive feedback.

Upon arrival, I will inspect the item, try it out and if acceptable leave positive feedback for the seller if they have already left feedback for me.

IMO, feedback from sellers should be posted in response to my payment practices, Not in response to My leaving positive feedback for the seller.

My view of the eBay transaction flow is:
I Bid,
I Win,
Receive invoice from seller,
Pay for item,
receive positive feedback for timely payment,
receive item as indicated in auction,
leave positive feedback for seller,
done.

Far TOO MANY sellers, of late, are failing to leave feedback in a timely fashion, which delays or prevents me from leaving feedback for them.

Good Luck with your auctions!
Jeff H.

I agree on how it should work and numerous times I've had sellers not leaving feedback. Lately when this happens, I write the seller a message nicely stating that I received the item and that if they want positive feedback from me, they need to give me positive feedback first, if they don't leave any feedback for awhile after that, I leave neutral feedback.
