some campfire pics @ 12:19 am

Mood: accomplished accomplished

Some shots of fantastic campfire. I wanted to see what would happen if I used the fastest shutter speed that the camera would shoot at: 1/8000 sec.

Camera: Canon EOS 30D
Exposure: 1/8000 sec
Aperture: f/5
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 1600
Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV

hum, I was thinking more like a ghost, but it would work for Satan in a pinch. I think I need to have one of these as an icon. There are (only) a couple of hundred that I shot that night, I should be able to find one that would work well as an LJ icon. ;)

Thanks!

A buddy was doing some demolition in his house and brought some very old wood to camp, we decided that it was a nice night for a campfire. I shot a whole series of images of fire that evening.

Thanks!

It was a happy accident that I decided to shoot with a fast lens and a very high shutter speed, it wound up creating some beautiful frozen fire effects.

Very nice shots. They show how powerful and strong the flame was. You really captured the moment well! Great job!

Keep putting up shots. I look forward to more of your photography :)

Ah, requires me to get a paid account. I'll get to that sometime soon as I get more into the blogging :D

Thanks a bunch for the help though :) It's most appreciated.
